A shared responsibility

For a sustainable future

We are a socially responsible company.

We fully integrate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) into our business model, with a strong commitment to solidarity, the environment and sustainable development.

Working at Global Development means being part of a group that takes concrete action to make a positive impact on society, while maintaining a collaborative, respectful and ethical working environment.

ensuring a positive impact

Concrete actions for local people and regions

Maximising our impact on developing people and areas

Our mission is to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by improving the quality and accessibility of essential public services in developing regions. We are committed to promoting access for all to these vital services.

A position of integrity, ethics and knowledge sharing

We stand for integrity, ethics and the mutual sharing of knowledge:

Fighting corruption: We are committed to fighting corruption, ensuring transparent and accountable governance.

Balanced partnerships: We promote equitable partnerships, highlighting the expertise of professionals from the South, to ensure respectful and sustainable collaboration.

Independence, transparency
and shared governance

We guarantee Global Development’s independence through a 100% employee-owned structure, where all shareholders are also employees. No outside investor can take control without our consent. We ensure full transparency in our decision-making, with each employee shareholder having an equal vote at general meetings. Regular forums facilitate internal communication and participation. Our governance is based on a harmonious relationship between executives and employee shareholders, with a clear division of roles.

Ethical and responsible working environment

Fundamental rights and gender equality

We are committed to respecting the fundamental rights of all our employees, partners, suppliers and customers.

Gender equality is a key pillar of our human resources policy. With 58% women in our workforce by 2024, we ensure balanced representation at all levels, including positions of responsibility. Our internal pay scale guarantees equal pay for men and women, and our policies ensure that parental leave does not hinder our employees’ salary development or careers.

Well-being at work

The well-being of our employees is a priority for Global Development. We strive to provide a harmonious working environment that combines flexibility and professional fulfilment. We encourage a balance between on-site and remote working to provide a suitable organisation for everyone, while reducing our carbon footprint. Our values of respect and mutual support ensure a caring environment that fosters trust and cooperation.

We regularly organise social events, such as team building and our summer university, to strengthen cohesion. Finally, the safety of our people in the field is a priority, with rigorous monitoring and appropriate measures in place, particularly in high-risk areas.

A controlled carbon footprint

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint through a number of levers. Our travel policy provides a framework for business travel, limiting the use of air travel to essential situations. At the same time, the development of our local offices reduces the number of journeys and strengthens our local presence. Telecommuting, which is encouraged and governed by a charter, also helps to reduce commuting and improve the quality of life for employees.

On a day-to-day basis, we educate our teams on eco-friendly behaviours to reduce our environmental impact, whether in the office or working from home. Finally, we closely monitor our carbon footprint and have embarked on a strategy of progressive offsetting to achieve our goal of carbon neutrality by 2030.

Let’s go further together

We are actively involved in the CEDRE programme (Contract for Employment and Responsible Business Development), supported by the South region (France). Thanks to this grant, we benefit from personalised support in the implementation of our 3-year CSR action plan. This plan aims to reduce our carbon footprint, improve the quality of our working environment and strengthen our commitment to local development in the South of France.
